Troy Whitt, Jr., age 63, of Tomahawk, KY, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, March 29, 2018. Born May 16, 1954, he was the son of the late Troy, Sr. and Dorothy Justice Whitt. He was preceded in death by his loving son, Virgil Steven Whitt, two brothers, David and Larry Whitt, and his sister, Kaye Callahan.
Survivors include his loving wife of 43 years, Lucille Setser Whitt, his loving son, Matthew Troy Whitt, one loving granddaughter, Ebony Fields, and two sisters, Delilah Muncy and Sadie Whitt.
He was a retired coal miner and a faithful member of the Davisport Freewill Baptist Church where he sang in the choir for many years. He leaves behind numerous brothers and sisters in the church, whom he loved very much and who loved him just as much. Also, many nieces, nephews, and cousins who loved him dearly. His neighbors all around treated him with kindness and he loved them all. He also leaves behind his special family, brother in law, Edgar Setser, brother and sister in law, Bruce and Verladene Setser Carter.
Funeral Services will be Monday, April 2, 2018 at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Crum Funeral Home with Luther Fletcher officiating. Burial will follow in the Setser Cemetery, Tomahawk, KY. Friends may visit Saturday after 5 PM and all day Sunday at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of Crum Funeral Home, Inez, KY.
Bennie Maynard, age 72, of Inez, KY, passed Thursday, March 29, 2018 at Pikeville Medical Center. He was born March 15, 1946 to the late Jesse Maynard and Ethel Muncy Maynard.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Sandra Carol Maynard. He is survived by his sons, Jeffrey and Jerry Maynard both of Inez, KY; daughter, Stephanie Hobbs also of Inez, KY; brothers Cotton and Danny Maynard, both of Richmond, KY; 8 grandchildren, Jeffrey Maynard, Kassandra Hamilton, Victoria Fletcher, Kassady Fannin, Kaitlyn Maynard, Kennedi Maynard, Holly Maynard, Macee Maynard, and Kristin Hinkle; 4 great grandchildren, Jacob Maynard, Harley Maynard, J.B. Maynard, Lillyanne Fletcher, Kaley Hinkle and Corbin Lowe.
Funeral Services will be Sunday, April 1, 2018 at 1:00 PM in the chapel of Crum Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the family cemetery, Beauty, KY. Friends may visit Friday and Saturday after 5 PM at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of Crum Funeral Home, Inez, KY.

Minerva Hobbs Harmon Crum peacefully passed from the earth on Wednesday, March 28, 2018, at the Martin County Health Care Facility. Minerva was born to the late Robert and Minta Hobbs on October 25, 1922.
She is preceded in death by husbands, Earl Harmon and Glen Crum. Also, she is preceded in death by brothers John Hobbs, Roscoe Hobbs, and James Hobbs. Sisters preceding her include Polly Hobbs Butcher, Sadie Hobbs Damron, Kizzie Hobbs, Josie Hobbs Damron, Belle Hobbs Maynard, Kate Hobbs Jarrell, and Mae Hobbs Davis.
She is survived by daughters Peggy Dials and husband Tom Dials of Warfield, Kentucky and Carolyn Kirk and husband Carl Kirk of Clinton, Tennessee. Surviving stepsons include Joe and Judy Crum of Inez, Kentucky and Roy and wife Francis "Cookie" Crum of Inez, Kentucky. One stepson, James Crum preceded her in death.
Surviving grandchildren include (Scott Kirk of Washington, North Carolina), (Tomma Dials Fletcher and husband Norman Fletcher of Prestonsburg, Kentucky), (Gena Kirk Justice and husband Larry T. Justice of Knoxville, Tennessee), and (Todd Dials and wife Kim Hinkle Dials of Inez, Kentucky).
Step-grandchildren include Rick Crum, Jason Crum, Rachel Wright, Joshua Crum and Sean Crum (deceased).
Great-grandchildren include Shelby Justice, JT Dials, Bryce Fletcher, Matthew Dials, Andrew Justice, and Blake Fletcher.
Minerva loved the Lord and attended church in both Kentucky and Tennessee when able to do so. She was a member of Turkey Creek Church of the Nazarene. When she was unable to attend church, she enjoyed watching and listening to gospel programming.
Minerva loved her family dearly and spent countless time enjoying fellowship and fun with family members. She was active in service and travels with her family (which she enjoyed immensely) throughout the later part of her life.
Minerva will always be remembered for sacrificial service to others and steadfast commitment to serve the Lord.
Visitation services for Minerva will be Friday, March 30, 6:00-8:00 P.M. at the Crum Funeral Home in Inez, Kentucky. Funeral services will be conducted at Turkey Creek Church of the Nazarene on Saturday, March 31 at 11:00 A.M. Burial will follow at the Warfield Cemetery (Collins Creek) in Warfield, Kentucky. Pastor Garrett Mills and Brother Mitchell Horn will officiate.
