Obituaries

Roman Dwayne Thompson, age 19, of Inez, KY., passed away Friday, May 25, 2018, at Children’s Hospital Columbus, Ohio. He was born March 29, 1999, to John William Thompson of Prestonsburg, KY., and LeAnn Stumbo of Inez, KY. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Charley Stumbo. In addition to his parents, he is survived by one sister; Adrienne Nicole Stumbo of Inez, KY., Grandparents; Virgie Mae Stumbo of Inez, KY., and Edith Marsillett of Prestonsburg, KY., also surviving are several aunts and uncles. 
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 29, 2018, at 1:00 PM in the chapel of the Crum Funeral Home with Roger Ooten officiating. Burial will follow in the Stumbo Family Cemetery, Inez, KY. Friends may visit the funeral home Sunday and Monday from 6-9PM. In Lieu of Flowers, by request of family, donations may be made to the Crum Funeral Home, to offset cost of the funeral. Arrangements are under the direction of the Crum Funeral Home, Inez.

Frank Jarrell, age 75, of Catlettsburg, KY, passed away Thursday, May 10, 2018 at his residence. He was born December 18, 1942 in Martin County, KY to the late Nebert Jarrell and Elberta Horn Jarrell.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother Morris Jarrell and his sister, Aletta Carol Jarrell.
He is survived by his wife, Doris F. Jarrell, one daughter, Susan Jarrell Crisp of Grayson, KY; two sons, Frank Sean Jarrell of Wolf Creek, KY and Marshall Ryan Jarrell of Inez, KY; 9 grandchildren, Savanna Hope Crisp, Lauren Michelle (Serge) Fabre, Kendell Leighann Jarrell, Shauna Rhyann Jarrell, Elijah Frank Sean Jarrell, Nicholas Brady Jarrell, Haleigh Lynette Jarrell, and Keaton O’Ryan Jarrell; 3 brothers; Auxier Ray (Becky) Jarrell, Larry (Nancy) Jarrell, and Eli (Phyllis) Jarrell; 3 sisters, Delma Jo (Willis) Cook, Ruth (Dan) Dalton, and Millie (Larry) Begley.    
Funeral services will be held Sunday, May 13, 2018 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Crum Funeral Home with Richard “Bubby” Davis officiating. Burial will follow in the Riverview Memorial Gardens, Louisa, KY. Friends may visit at the funeral home after 6 PM on Friday and after 5 PM on Saturday. Arrangements are under the direction of Crum Funeral Home, Inez, KY.

Myrtle Justice Bragg, age 82, of Crum, WV, passed away, May 27, 2018. She was born February 6, 1936 to the late Jay Justice and Nannie Williamson Justice. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Bragg and one son; Billy Bragg, two brothers; Wayne Justice and Eugene Justice, one sister; Victoria Waller. She is survived by four sons; Charles (Janie) Bragg, Danny (Evelyn) Bragg, Leonard (Carrie) Bragg Jr., and Gary Bragg of Jennies Creek, WV, two brothers; J.P. Justice of Worthington, OH and Leon Justice of Jennies Creek, WV, two sisters; Edna Stanley and Virginia Bragg both of Jennie’s Creek, WV, and seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Special thank you to Divina Bragg for all the help and being a great, wonderful friend to Granny.
Funeral services will be held at 1 PM on Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at the Walnut Grove Church of Christ, Jennies Creek, WV with Jesse Jay Spaulding officiating. Burial will follow in the Bragg Family Cemetery at Mudlick, Jennies Creek, WV. Friends may visit the church Monday and Tuesday after 6PM. Arrangements are under the direction of the Crum Funeral Home, Inez.

Johnny McCoy, age 78, of Lawrence Co., KY, passed away May 5, 2018 at his residence. He was born October 28, 1939 in Martin Co., KY to the late Clyde McCoy and Grace Jude McCoy.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by 2 brothers; Gabe McCoy and Carl McCoy.
He is survived by his wife, Ruby Maynard McCoy; 2 sons, Mitchell (Bonnie) Mccoy of Louisa, KY and Mike (Diana) McCoy of Tomahawk, KY; 1 daughter, Tammy (Keith) Slone of Catlettsburg, KY; 4 brothers, Leroy (Phyllis) McCoy of Charlie, KY, Tommy (Betty) McCoy of Louisa, KY, Clyde Jr. (Angie) McCoy of Marion, OH, and Richard (Connie) McCoy of Inez, KY; 4 sisters, Lois (Roger) Meade of Louisa, KY, Gail (Randy) Cassady of Pilgrim, KY, Caroline (Kim) Ratliff of Warfield, KY and Linda Kaye (David) Moore of Tennessee; 1 sister-in-law, Linda McCoy, 13 grandchildren, Tabitha Hinkle, Crystal Burchett, Ryan McCoy, Shawn McCoy, Jonathon Slone, Vannah Slone, Garrick McCoy, Jeff McCoy, Travis McCoy, Zack McCoy, Sharon McCoy, Zoey McCoy, and Nicole McCoy; and 4 great grandchildren, Zoie Hinkle, Cash McCoy, Paislee Hinkle, and Lillie McCoy. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, May 7, 2018 at 1:00 PM in the chapel of Crum Funeral Home, Inez, KY with John Jude officiating. Burial will follow in Riverview Memorial Gardens, Louisa, KY. Friends may visit on Sunday after 6 PM at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of Crum Funeral Home, Inez, KY.
