       Gladys Jean Maynard (Punkin), age 57 of Charleston, WV, formerly of Martin County, KY, passed away Monday, November 6, 2017 at her home. Born February 27, 1960 at Louisa, KY, to Emma Jean Spence Copeland of Tomahawk, KY and the late Hersh V. Maynard.

       In addition to her father, she is preceded in death by her stepmother: Beeda Pearl Maynard, one son: Ryan Keith Maynard and three brothers: Thomas, Wayne and Steve Maynard. In addition to her mother, she is also survived by her husband: Harry (Rob) Brady, of Charleston, WV, one son: John David Maynard (Kathryn) of El Paso, TX, two brothers: Mike Maynard (Freda) of Inez, KY and Randy Maynard of Missouri, one sister: Tressa Mollett of Tomahawk, KY and as well as a host of family members who loved her dearly.

       A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, November 16, 2017 from 6 to 8:00 PM at Freedom Freewill Baptist Church, Debord, KY. Arrangements are under the direction of the Crum Funeral Home, Inez.

      Homer Dye, age 51 of Pilgrim, Ky., passed away Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at Highlands Regional Medical Center.

He was born April 12, 1966, in Martin County, Ky, to the late Richard and Virginia Patrick Dye. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by two brothers: Charles and David Paul Dye.

     Homer is survived by his wife, Penny Jude Dye; one son: Homer Lee (Krystie) Dye of Inez; two brothers: James (Rodean) Dye of Pilgrim, Ky and Richard (Melissa) Dye of Jackson, Oh; two sisters: Ovie (Randy) Jude of Pilgrim, Ky and Brenda (Kevin) Fields; one sister-in-law: Anna Dye; and one grandson: Dylan Riley Dye. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Home

     Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Saturday, November 11, 2017, at the Buck Branch United Baptist Church in Pilgrim, Ky with Hubert Presley Jr., David Stacy, Buddy Stacy and Bobby Moore. Burial will follow in the Moore Cemetery, Dye Bottom, Pilgrim, Ky. Friends may visit after 5 pm Thursday and until time of services at the church.    Iva Dean Davis, age 64 of Tomahawk, KY, passed away Sunday, November 5, 2017 at Three Rivers Medical Center, Louisa. Born February 10, 1953 in Martin County, KY. She was the daughter of the late Earl and Helen Wells Mollette. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by one sister, Eula Dean Mollette.

  She is survived by her husband, Richard Davis, of Tomahawk, KY, one son: Richard A. “Tony” Davis and wife Michelle M. of Sidney, OH, two daughters: Christi Eller and husband Eric of Tomahawk, KY and Cosby Leann Crozier and her husband Michael of Newark, OH, five brothers: Marty, Richard, Jerry, Mark, and Earl Michael Mollette, seven sisters: Anna Mae Spriggs, Emma Leona Fetterly, Olivean Johnson, Janet Hill, Linda Mollette, Alice Cole and Jeanette Preece, thirteen grandchildren: Brittany Walker, Jimmy Davis, Nathan, Wesley, and Emma Begley, Lexie, Justin and Brody Eller, Michael, Nicole and Dillon Crozier, Elleanna Davis, Bradley Childers and one great grandchild: Caliya Walker.

  Funeral services will be held 12:00 PM, Wednesday, November 8, 2017 in the chapel of the Crum Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Davis Family Cemetery, Tomahawk, Ky. Willie Goble will officiate. Friends can visit the funeral home from 6-9 PM Monday and all day Tuesday. Arrangements are under the direction of the Crum Funeral Home, Inez.

      Randy Sherman Blevins, age 35, died November 20, 2017. He was born October 6, 1982 in Marion, Ohio, the son of Donnie Blevins and the late Mary Evans Smith. He attended Marion City Schools and graduated from Harding High School in 2001 where he participated in all sports. Randy had a strong passion for the game of football and was a dedicated Green Bay Packers fan.
      Randy is survived by his father, Donnie (Roxy) Blevins, stepmother Sherry (Blevins) Orr, stepfather Rodrick Smith, his brothers Jay (Jennifer) Blevins, R.J. and Kenny Jackson, his sisters, Brittany and Marissa Blevins, Tiara Smith and Ieasha (Preston) Dean and a stepsister, Ashley. He also leaves his paternal grandparents Donald and Jeanie Blevins. Also Survived by 2 aunts, Debera Sckroggins, Cindy (Terry) Griffith and one uncle Tony (Marie) Evans. Randy leaves behind his daughter Kaydence Mackenzie, 6 years old, and her mother, Heather Risner. Surviving Randy will also be his close friends Jesse Dunn, Josh Gamble, Joe Powers, Jeff (Meggan) Tiller and so very many more, as well as several cousins, nieces and nephews.
      Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, November 25, 2017 at the Calf Creek United Baptist Church, Inez, KY, with burial to follow in the Short Family Cemetery. Friends can visit after 6 PM Thursday at the family home and after 5 PM Friday at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of the Crum Funeral Home, Inez.            

     Brian Cain, age 38, of Louisville, KY, formerly of Inez, KY, passed away Wednesday, November 1, 2017, at his residence. Born December 11, 1978 to the late Gary Michael Cain and Carol Cain Booth of Inez, KY. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his stepfather, Sheridan Booth, Jr., his wife, Marsha Dawn Hall Cain, of Louisville, KY, two daughters that were his pride and joy, Keely and Hailey Cain, both of Louisville, KY, his grandmother, Betty “Meme” Cain  of Inez, KY, two brothers: Gary Michael Cain II of Frankfort, KY, Larry (Stephanie) Jude of  Prestonburg, KY, one nephew: Alex Jude and two nieces: Aleah Jude and Mckenna Taylor Cain. He is also survived by several uncles, aunts, cousins and friends all across KY.

     Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, November 4, 2017, in the chapel of the Crum Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Cain Family Cemetery, Coldwater. Kevin Davis, Richard (Buddy) Davis and Tim Preece will officiate. Friends can visit the funeral home from 5-9 PM on Friday.    Alexis Paige Jude, beloved infant daughter of Brett Jude and Berea Rider, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday November 23, 2017 . Born August 8,2017. Alexis (Lexi) brought much happiness and joy to all who knew and met her, even though Lexi’s time on earth was tragically short, she touched the lives of many people and was loved and cherished by all. She will be forever remembered as a smiling happy baby with a larger-than-life personality. This happy child will be happy forever, loved and loving eternally.
  Funeral services will be held 12pm Sunday, November 26, 2017 in the chapel of Crum Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Family Cemetery, Little Paint, East Point, KY.        Pamela Leigh Preece Mills, age 54 of Inez, KY, passed away Tuesday, November 14, 2017 at Kings Daughters Medical Center, Ashland, KY. Born June 22, 1963 at Paintsville, KY, to the late Roger Preece and Glenda Proctor Preece of Inez, KY.

   In addition to her mother, she is also survived by her husband: Randy Mills of Inez, KY, one daughter: Aleisha Mills of Pilgrim, KY, one brother: James Robert “Robbie” Preece of Inez, KY, two sisters: Diane Preece Smith and Kathy Preece Farnham both of Inez, KY, three grandchildren: Emily Neal and Chloe and Colin Chapman and a nephew whom she helped raise: Adam Smith.

   Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, November 18, 2017 at the Turkey Creek Church of the Nazarene with burial to follow in the Mills-Horn Crum Cemetery. Rev. Dwayne Mills will officiate. Friends can visit from 6-9 PM Friday at the Crum Funeral. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Crum Funeral Home to assist with funeral cost. Deborah Akers, age 62 of Prestonsburg, KY, passed away Friday, November 11, 2017 at Cabell Huntington Hospital, Huntington, WV. Born May 28, 1955 in Floyd County, KY, to the late Elbert, JR and Lois Slone Powers.

   She is survived by her daughter: Stephanie Johnson of Prestonsburg, KY, 4 grandchildren: Victoria, Kaitlyn, Devin, and Ashton Johnson as well as several cousins and one aunt and uncle.

   A graveside service will be held Saturday, December 2, 2017 at the Slone Family Cemetery, Right Beaver, Knott County, KY. Arrangements are under the direction of the Crum Funeral Home, Inez.   
    

   Melissa Evans-Smith, age 50, of Louisa, Ky.  passed away suddenly Monday, November 20, 2017. Born October 5, 1967 in Lawrence County, Kentucky. She is the daughter of the late John and Janet Evans Hamilton. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her son, Randy Sherman Blevins. She is survived by the love of her life, her husband of 26 years, Rick (Moe) Smith of Columbus, Ohio, her 3 children: Ieasha (Preston) Dean, of Columbus,Ohio, Jay (Jennifer) Blevins of Marion, Ohio, and Tiara Smith, of Columbus, Ohio, and one brother: Tony (Marie) Evans of Louisa, Ky. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren: Marquelle Jarret, Chunyia Dean, Dezirae Blevins, Nevaeh Dean, Imani Dean, Preston Dean, Skylar Brumfield, and her best friend forever, Robin Gattshall. Friends can visit after 6 PM Thursday at the family home and from 5:00 PM to 10 PM Friday and 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM Saturday at Calf Creek United Baptist Church.              America Maynard, age 96, of Pilgrim, Ky. passed away from her earthly home on Tuesday, November 21, 2017. Born July 14, 1921 in Martin County, Kentucky. She is the daughter of the late George and Easter (Fletcher) Jude. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her loving husband, Bill Maynard, 1 infant daughter: Evie Maynard and 1 infant son: Shadle Maynard, 3 brothers: Charlie, Harrison and Jeff Jude, 4 sisters: Arminta Ward, Vina Stacy, Ollie Maynard, and Janie Jude, 3 son in laws: Ray Blackburn, Jack Powers, and Willard Harmon, and one grandchild, Wendel Harmon. She is survived by 5 sons: Cullen (Kathy) Maynard of Gahanna, OH, Ersel Maynard of Fort Gay, WV, Hansel (Lois) Maynard of Richmond, KY, George (Marjorie) Maynard of Pilgrim, KY, and Billy (Marlene) Maynard of Pilgrim, KY, 5 Daughters: Rosetta Harmon Hale of Pilgrim, KY, Mattie Ruth Powers of Columbus, OH, Ruby Jean Blackburn of Columbus, OH, Grethel Faye (Ronnie) Ash of Inez, KY, and Lois (Keith) Wears of Pliny, WV, and one sister: Gladys Stacy of Inez, KY. She is also survived by 23 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
She was a member of Sidney Old Regular Baptist Church for 50+ years.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Friday, November 24, 2017 at the Sidney Old Regular Baptist Church with burial to follow in the Blackburn Cemetery, Pilgrim, KY. Richard Staton and Kenneth B.   Armel Ilene Staton Wilson, age 86, of Pilgrim, KY, passed away Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at her residence. Born February 5, 1931, at Pilgrim, KY, to the late Tom and Bertha Fields Staton. 
   In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by 2 stepdaughters: Wilma Wilson and Deanna Kastner and one brother: Edward Staton. She is survived by her husband: Howard Douglas Wilson of Pilgrim, KY, one son: Howard Eugene (Blanche) Staton of Flatwoods, KY, 2 stepsons: Douglas Wilson of Pikeville, KY and Danny Wilson of Pilgrim, KY, 3 stepdaughters: Lisa Wilson of Pilgrim, KY, Kathy Williamson of Versailles, KY, and Joann (Raymond) Jude of Pilgrim, KY, 3 sisters: Julie Mae Robinson of Pilgrim, KY, Helen Jean Bush of Pilgrim, KY, and Ruth (Richard)  Staton Fluty of Pilgrim, KY. She is also survived by 3 grandchildren: Jeanise ( Ron) Renaud, Jeannette Staton , Rhonda Sue (Terry) Quillen and Aaron (Jennifer) Saul. 11 step grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. She was a member of the Little Elizabeth United Baptist Church.
