Anna was called from the cares and troubles of this life on Thursday, May 9, 2019 to enter into her eternal rest. She was born in Pikeville KY on October 4, 1956. Leaving behind to mourn her passing are her husband, Doug Mounts of Inez KY, two daughters, Shirley Ann Mounts of Williamson WV and Kelly Fouch of Ballfork KY, two granddaughters, Piper Corbett of Williamson WV and Krissa Phillips of McCarr KY and two great-grandsons; her sister Jewel Phillips James, brother Roy (Mike) Phillips and nephew Michael G Phillips, all of Columbia SC. Also, a very dear friend and roommate, Betty Davis of Trinity Health Care. Anna was preceded in death by her parents, Graham and Marie Phillips of Feds Creek KY, and her brother Steve Phillips of Belfry KY.
Anna loved listening to gospel music, enjoyed writing poetry, and especially loved to draw. Despite her many health issues, you could usually find her greeting you with a smile.
The family wishes to thank the medical staff in the ICU at Pikeville Medical Center, as well as the Williamson Hospital and Trinity Health Care Services of Williamson WV for their compassionate care of Anna over the past several years. And a very special thank you to two precious cousins who constantly took the time to visit and cheer her, Ruth Bevins and Leshia Newsome.
Arrangements are under the direction of Crum Funeral Home of Inez KY. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Arthritis Foundation online at https://curearthritis.org/donate or the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation online at https://www2.jdrf.org. A memorial service will be held at a later date at the Feds Creek KY Church of Christ.
