Betty Sue (McCullough) Bowers

Betty Sue Bowers, age 87, of Inez, KY, passed away on February 28, 2019 at Martin County Health Care Facility. She was born April 19, 1931 in Lee, FL to the late James Franklin McCullough and Mable Hempill McCullough. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by five brothers: Floyd McCullough, Earnest McCullough, O'neil McCullough, Raymond McCullough and Archie McCullough and two sisters, Lucille McCullough Holten and Eva McCullough Luber. She is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Walter James Bowers, two daughters, Benita (Phillip) Field of Arkansas and Debbie (Ronnie) Evans of Inez, KY. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren: Greg (Jennifer) Evans, Cheris Evans (Casey) Young, Matthew Field, Joshua (Hope) Field, Joyful Field, and Destiny Field, and 5 great grandchildren: Cayleigh Young, Caleb Young, Truett Field, Holden Field and Grayson Field. Betty was a faithful member of the Oppy Church of God for many years. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2019 beginning at 12 PM in the chapel of Crum Funeral Home with Bill Evans presiding. Burial will follow at Riverview Memorial Gardens, Louisa, KY. Friends may visit at the funeral home from 10 AM until the time of service on Saturday. Arrangements are under the direction of Crum Funeral Home of Inez, KY.
