Charles E. York

Charles E. York, age 86, of Columbus, OH, formerly of Warfield, KY, passed away Thursday, December 13, 2018 at his residence. He was born December 12, 1932 in Warfield, KY to the late Joseph and Sarilda Lackey York. He was a veteran of the US Army. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Garnet Fields York, one son, John Edward York, and several brothers and sisters. He is survived by his son, Oscar York or Columbus, OH, three daughters: Debbie (Roger) Call and Tammy Harris, both of Columbus, OH and Gail (Tim) McCoy of Paintsville, KY, one brother, Joseph York, Jr. of Lovely, KY, and two sisters: Georgiann Jarrell and Elizabeth Murphy, both of Warfield, KY. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, December 15, 2018 at 1 PM in the chapel of Crum Funeral Home with his grandson, John York, officiating. Burial will follow in the Warfield Cemetery with Ed York, also his grandson, officiating the graveside service. Friends may visit at the funeral home on Saturday beginning at 11 AM until time of service. Arrangements are under the direction of Crum Funeral Home of Inez, KY.
