Dora Evelyn (Fallavollita) Maynard

Dora Evelyn Maynard, age 94, of Fort Gay, WV, passed away December 27, 2019 at her residence. She was born November 1, 1925 to the late Pasquale Fallavollita and Anna Vendresco Fallavollita in Greensburg, PA. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by one son, Jimmy Calderone, three sisters; Grace Lavella, Minnie McDonnell, and Lousie Fallavollita, one grandson, Gregory Jude, two great grandchildren, Lucas Michael and Baby B. Baisden and her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Charlie and Anna Mary Maynard. She is survived by one son, Denny Paul Calderone of CA, three daughters; Terry (George) Baisden and Barbara (Larry) Maynard, both of Fort Gay, WV, and Tina (Danny) Parsons of Milo, KY, one brother, John (Racheal) Fallavollita of CA, and two sisters, Ruth Fallavollita and Esther Fallavollita, both of CA. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren; Michael Moore of Van Lear, KY, George Baisden, II of Fort Gay, WV, Danny (D.J.) Jude, Jr. of Prichard, WV, Courtney (Derek) Maynard of Blacklog, KY, and Tina Calderone, Denny Calderone, Jr. and Selena Calderone all of CA, as well as 7 great grand children; Tiarra Moore, Hailey Jude, Sundyna Baisden, Lucretia Baisden, Gabby Jude, Christian Maynard, and Xavier Baisden and a host of nieces and nephews, sister-in-laws and brother-in-laws, family and friends that she loved dearly. Dora spent her free time making crafts, painting, and coloring. She loved playing board games, like Scrabble, with her family and she was a member of the Church of Christ. She enjoyed singing, making people laugh and spending time in her flower beds. She made it a mission that no one ever left her house hungry. In her younger years, she was a thrill seeker and loved to travel. However, she would say her time was best spent surrounded by her family. She was loved and adored by all who knew her. Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 30, 2019 at 12 PM in the chapel of Crum Funeral Home with James Maynard officiating. Burial will follow in the Maynard Cemetery on the right fork of Mill Creek in WV. Friends may visit at the funeral home on Sunday from 5 PM to 10 PM. Arrangements are under the direction of Crum Funeral Home of Inez, KY.
