Dorothy (Keel) Slone

Dorothy Slone, age 81, of Van Lear, KY, passed away March 6, 2019 at Martin County Health Care Facility. She was born July 14, 1937 to the late Kermit Keel and Lucy Vires Keel in Johnson Co., KY. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Carl Slone, five brothers: Charles Herman Keel, Troy Keel, Merman Keel, Bobby Keel and Roger Keel, one sister, Judy Meade and one great grandchild. She is survived by two sons, Rick E. (Deresa) Slone of Van Lear, KY and Randy E. (Mae) Slone of Inez, KY and 4 grandchildren: Dorothy Ann (Chad) Parks, Jenny (Jason) Meadows, Randy Slone II, and Phillip (Nikki) Slone. She is also survived by 5 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be Saturday, March 9, 2019 at 12:00 PM in the chapel of Crum Funeral Home with Roger Hill presiding. Burial will follow in the Riverview Memorial Gardens, Louisa, KY. Friends may visit at the funeral home from 4 PM to 8 PM on Friday and from 10 AM until the time of services on Saturday. Arrangements are under the direction of Crum Funeral Home of Inez, KY.
