James Edward Collins

James would like to inform everyone that after 45 years, his work here is done. Tuesday, September 11, 2018, he received an offer he could not refuse, for a job given to him before he knew he was even ready. The job security is 110 percent and comes with the best sign-on bonus, a reunion with family and friends he has not seen in a long time. With his new assignment, he will be in a wonderful place where he will socialize, dance, garden and read to his heart's content. He asks that everyone that he left behind follow these simple instructions; live, love, laugh, forgive and have faith in Jesus Christ.

To his dearest daughter Olivia, "You are my heart" forevermore.

James Edward "Jimmie" Collins of Pilgrim, KY was born June 3, 1973, to Cormell Lee and Kathleen Mary Kennedy Collins in Livonia, MI. He is preceded in death by one sister, Mary Pauline Collins and grandparents; Betty White and Donna Anderson and Edward Kennedy. He is survived by his daughter, Olivia Kathleen Collins of Ohio, one brother, Jake Michael Collins of Jacksonville, FL, two sisters; Patricia Lynn Collins and Carrie Lee Collins, both of Redford Township, MI and many loving nephews, his niece, aunts, uncles and cousins.
He will also be fondly remembered by his dear friend Tyler Chapman.

A memorial service will be held at Grace Chapel located at 27996 Halstead Rd, Farmington Hills, MI 48331 at 2:00 PM on Saturday, September 22, 2018.

Arrangements are under the direction of Crum Funeral Home of Inez.
