Richard Leon Meade

Richard Meade, age 65, of Lawrence County, KY, passed away Tuesday, August 14, 2018 at Highlands Regional Medical Center. He was born April 20, 1953 in Paintsville, KY, to the late Willie Elmo and Georgeanna Lyania Jordan Meade. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by 3 brothers; George, R.D. and Johnny Meade, and 4 sisters; Elizabeth Meade, Becky Murry, Sarah Williamson, and Linda Wiley. He is survived by his wife, Bonnie Stapleton Meade of Louisa, KY, 2 daughters; Nora (Mike) Sesco of Inez, KY and Katherine (Bobby) Vanhoose of Louisa, KY, 3 brothers; Tommy (Dorlane) Meade of Hager Hill, KY, Jimmy (Sally) Meade of Louisiana, and Willie (Dottie) Meade, Jr. of Whitehouse, KY, and 1 sister, Bobbie Vanhoose of Hager Hill, KY. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren; Mickayla (Robbie) Oaks and Chris (Savannah) Sesco, both of Inez, KY, and Jordon Bryer Vanhoose and Mackenzie Grace Vanhoose, both of Louisa, KY and 3 great grandchildren; Bradlyne Stafford, Maci Coal Oaks, and Raylee Geane Oaks, all of Inez, KY. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, August 17, 2018 at 1:00 PM at the Richardson Chapel Primitive Baptist Church, Richardson, KY with Tommy Meade officiating. Burial will follow in the Stapleton Cemetery, Nats Creek, KY. Friends may visit the church on Wednesday after 5 PM and all day Thursday. Arrangements are under the direction of Crum Funeral Home of Inez, KY.
