Ruth (Moore) Fields

Ruth Fields, age 87, of Pikeville, KY, passed away Thursday, January 3, 2019 at Martin County Nursing Home in Inez, KY. She was born August 4, 1931 in Pilgrim, KY to the late James D. Moore and Winnie Blackburn Moore. She was a member of the Island Creek Old Regular Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Russell "Pat" Fields, one son, Jim Fields, two daughters: Brenda Kay Fields and Patty Fields Cornett, four brothers: James Henry Moore, Joe Moore, Carmel Moore, and Drewey Moore, and one sister: Dorothy Johnson. She is survived by one son, Tom Fields of Michigan, two daughters: Lois Hamilton of Island Creek, KY and Fay Copley of Inez, KY, and two sisters: Mabel Robinson of South Williamson, KY and Faye McCoy of Grove City, OH. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 7, 2019 at 11 AM in the chapel of Crum Funeral Home of Inez with John Paul Hamilton, Leonard Hamilton and others officiating. Her grandchildren will serve as Pal Bearers. Burial will follow in the Kirk-Fields Cemetery, Pilgrim, KY. Friends may visit at the funeral home on Saturday from 5 PM to 9 PM and from 9 AM to 9 PM on Sunday. There will be special services at 6:30 PM both nights. Arrangements are under the direction of Crum Funeral Home of Inez, KY.
