Samuel Lee Ward, 21 years old, of Louisa, KY, passed away on September 5, 2018 in Victor, WV. He was born November 8, 1996 in Ashland, KY to Jerry Lee Ward II and Donna Branham Ward. Graduating as one of Sheldon Clark High School’s Class of 2015 top 10 students, he was now a senior at the University of Kentucky majoring in computer and electrical engineering. He was employed with UPS as a full-time plant engineer. Sam was also a member of Big Elk Freewill Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his great grandparents; LK and Beatrice Branham, Albert and Mary Dalton Johnson, Jesse and Anna Perry, and Willie and Etta Ward, and his aunt, Mary Ann Branham. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his oldest sister, Natasha Marie Ward, younger brother, Jacob Dillon Ward and younger sister, Hannah Rose Ward. He is also survived by his grandparents on both sides, Don and Shirley Branham and Jerry and Carol Ward as well as Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins on both sides that loved him very much. He will be missed dearly by his closest friends, Kennan Osborne, David Spaulding, Aaron Tackett, and Tyler Chapman. Funeral services will be held Sunday, September 9, 2018 at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Crum Funeral Home of Inez with John Taylor and Warnie Pinson officiating. Burial will follow in the Perry Cemetery of Poplar Fork, Big Elk, KY. Friends may visit the funeral home after 5 PM on Friday and Saturday. Arrangements are under the direction of Crum Funeral Home, Inez, KY.
