Aayden Sammons Obituary

Aayden William Sammons, age 14, was born on February 18, 2006 in Honolulu, HI to Lowell and Meagan Sammons. He left this life behind to begin his eternal adventures on August 21, 2020. He will be missed by many and remembered for his unique personality and contagious smile. As a Boy Scout, he enjoyed camping, fishing, and serving his community. Aayden was an adventurer at heart and loved metal detecting and treasure hunting. He chose to keep giving even after he was no longer with us by being an organ donor to save the lives of many others. By doing so, he kept his oath as a Boy Scout and will leave a legacy of compassion for years to come. He was preceded in death by his maternal great grandparents, Percy and Julia Hudnall and Charles and Carrie Carter, his paternal great grandparents, Thomas and Dorothy Sammons and Rudolph Hammond, and his step grandfather, Bradley Bail. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his brother, Heath Sammons, his uncle, Reggie Sammons of Inez, KY, his cousins, Zoe and Zander Sammons of Inez, KY, his paternal grandparents, Lowell and Pamela Sammons of Henderson, KY, his maternal grandmother, Linda Bail of Zephyrhills, FL, his maternal grandfather and step-grandmother, Curt and Jessica Carter of OH, and his paternal great grandmother, Lou Ann Hammond of Inez, KY. He is also survived by many other great aunts, great uncles and cousins. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, September 26, 2020 at 1:00 PM at the Big Elk Creek Freewill Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to Wreaths Across America or the American Foundation for Donation and Transplantation.
