Alex Brian Clay, age 62, of Inez, KY, passed away August 28, 2020 at Kings Daughter’s Medical Center in Ashland, KY. He was born September 17, 1957 in Huntington, WV to the late Riley Clay and Deloris Roberts Clay. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one daughter, Susie Childers and one brother, Mark Clay. He is survived by his wife, Ronda Clay, three sons, Thomas Clay of Chapmanville, KY, Cory Crum and Alexander Clay, both of Inez, KY, two brothers, Riley Clay and Keith “Skebo” Clay, one sister, Patricia Clay Salmons, four brother in laws, Alan Crum, Daryl (Kristy) Phillips, Chris (Amy) Phillips, and Jason (Jen) Phillips, and three sister in laws, Glenna Hale, Becky (Jason) Campbell, and Rachel Crum. He is also survived by two grandchildren, Cayden Crum and Cashton Crum, two special nephews Brandon Hale and D. J. Hale, as well as a host of other nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 3, 2020 at 1:00 PM at the Big Elk Freewill Baptist Church with Billy Messer officiating. Burial will follow in the Crum Cemetery. Friends may visit at the church on Tuesday beginning at 5 PM until time of services on Thursday. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donation be made to the funeral home to assist with funeral expenses. Arrangements are under the direction of Crum Funeral Home of Inez, KY.
