Andy Stacy Obituary

Andy Stacy, a man whose heart was as big as the hills he called home in Inez, KY, passed away May 7, 2026, following a sudden illness at Kings Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, KY. It was during his time in the hospital that Andy was saved and baptized, finding peace and comfort in his faith. In his younger years, Andy was known to many by his CB handle, "Coconut". He spent his days hunting, trading, and talking across the airwaves. However, as the years passed, he retired those titles for his favorite one of all, "Papaw".

Andy didn't just raise his own; he was the kind of man who claimed every child his daughters brought through the door as his own, plus a few more. He took immense pride in spoiling his grandchildren, doing everything he could to make them smile. His legacy is one of open doors, open arms and a love that knew no boundaries.

He was born on March 5, 1952, to the late Carmel and Gladys (Jude) Stacy in Three Forks, KY. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Haskel Eugene Stacy, two brothers, Ben Harrison Stacy and Kenny Ray Stacy, four sisters, Judy Blackburn, Linda Jude, Tilda Faye Stacy, and Brenda Dalton, and one sister-in-law, Donna Stacy. Andy is survived by his wife, Sharon (Fletcher) Stacy, four daughters, Angela Lee (Mitchell) Smith of Inez, KY, Stephanie Ann (Randy) Fletcher of Louisa, KY, Andrea (Willie Blackburn) Stacy of Ulysses, KY, and Michelle Stacy of Louisa, KY, three brothers, Haskel (Joyce) Stacy of Inez, KY, Elmer Stacy of Van Lear, KY, and Jasper (Nona) Stacy of Inez, KY, and two sisters, Diana Kay (Gordon) Fletcher of Tomahawk, KY, and Tammy (Joe) Fannin of Milo, KY. Andy is also survived by his thirteen beloved grandchildren, Stacy (Ethan) Adams, Jeffery (Courtney) Ritchie, Isom Ritchie, Alandria Smith, Jada Smith, Blake (Libby) Fletcher, Bella Fletcher, Austin (Amanda) Fletcher, Rebecca (Brad) Hatfield, Morgan Blackburn, Jo Jo Blackburn, Corbin Blackburn, and Lucas Blackburn, eight beloved great grandchildren, Natalie Adams, Riley Adams, Oakley Ritchie, Natalie Rose, Archer Johnson, Kayson Fletcher, Madaline Fletcher, and Rosemary Brewer, one great grandchild on the way, a host of nieces and nephews, and "adopted" children that will miss him dearly.
