Anna (James) Bowen

Anna Bowen, age 94 of Marion, passed away on Sunday, June 28, 2020 at the Heartland of Marion. Anna was born on April 30, 1926 to the late Herbert and Betsy (Fannin) James in Inez, KY.  On November 27, 1947, she married the late Willis Bowen in Paintsville, KY. Anna was a babysitter for about 12 years. She will truly be missed by family and friends. Anna was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Willis Bowen; her sister: Flora Williamson; her brothers: Amos James, Edgar James and Zephinah James. Those who will cherish her memories include her daughters: Betty Woodyard of Marion, OH and Barb Pinnick of Satellite Beach, FL; her son: Ricky Bowen Coeur d’Alene, ID; her five grandchildren: Andrew and Autumn Woodyard, Joshua (Samantha) Pinnick, Chad (Taylor) Pinnick and Kristen (Chris) Pinnick; her five great grandchildren: Beckett, Holden, Amory and ZuZu Pinnick and Gwen Hessler; extended family: Sue Schwamberger of Marion, OH, Rocky Ratliff (Summer Schnabel) of Marion, OH, Kimberly (Jim) Weatherhead of Marion, OH, Jeffrey (Kelly McCoy) Ratliff of Marion, OH, Amber (Mike) Kile of Marion, OH and A.J. (Mindy) Sentieri of Marion; along with several nieces and nephews. Friends and family may come to honor Anna’s life on Thursday, July 2, 2020 at Crum Funeral Home in Inez, KY from 6pm to 8pm.  A funeral service will be held at Crum Funeral Home starting at 12pm with Pastor Richard Davis officiating.  Burial will follow funeral service at the Williamson family cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Anna’s memory to Heartland Hospice of Marion. Arrangements are under the direction of Boyd Born Funeral Home of Marion, OH and Crum Funeral Home of Inez, KY.
