Arlie Lee Williams, age 87, of Worthington, KY, passed away November 23, 2020 at Kings Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, KY. He was born July 28, 1933 in Inez, KY to the late Herbert and Myrtle Hinkle Williams. Arlie was a proud veteran of the US Army and served his country during the Korean War. He was also a faithful member of Christ Temple Church in Huntington, WV. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his first wife, Jewell Hammond Williams, and two brothers, Ralph Williams and Donald Williams. He is survived by his wife, Celeste Hawkins Williams, one son, Herbert (Nancy) Williams of Michigan, one daughter, Lura Beth (Jerry) Hensley of Ohio, two step daughters, Christa (Chris) Sanford of Alabama and Cathy (Ben) Staples of Tennessee, one step son, Michael (Abby) Grizzle of Georgia, a special daughter, Jane Perry, and two sister in laws, Alvatine Williams and Barb Williams. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, Reid & Ryder Staples, Peyton Grizzle, Keisha Crookshanks, Katina Johnson, CJ Hensley, Brooke Hensley, and Taylor Hensley, nine great grandchildren as well as his dog, Missy and cat, Annie that he loved very much. In accordance with current guidelines, a private service will be held for the family with Garrett Mills officiating. Burial will follow in the Pack Cemetery. A public celebration of life will be announced and held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made to Meals on Wheels, an organization that Arlie held dear to him. Arrangements are under the direction of Crum Funeral Home of Inez, KY.
