Bertina (Smith) Moore

Bertina Smith Moore, age 89, of Pilgrim, KY, passed away May 29, 2023 at her residence. She was born July 23, 1933 in Beauty, KY to the late William McKinley Smith and Nannie Fields Smith. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Cassius "Cat" Moore, three sons, Sheldon Moore, Denny Lee Moore, and Donnie Moore, her son-in-law, Troy Gullett, and five brothers, Everett Smith, Arlon Smith, Reffard Smith, John B. Smith, and Tony Smith. She is survived by one daughter, Kathy Gullett of Pilgrim, KY, one brother, Ernest Smith of Lavalette, WV, and one sister, Ella Smith Hall of Inez, KY. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 1, 2023 at 1 PM in the chapel of Crum Funeral Home with David Stacy, Buddy Stacy, and Noah White officiating. Burial will follow at the Lower Moore Cemetery. Friends may visit at the funeral home on Wednesday from 5 PM to 9 PM. Arrangements are under the direction of Crum Funeral Home of Inez, KY.
