Bessie (Spence) Anderson

Bessie Anderson, age 81, of Tomahawk, KY, passed away January 6, 2024 at her residence. She was born May 13, 1942 in Martin County, KY to the late Shirley and Mary Collins Spence. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Vern Anderson, her daughter, Virginia Cassell, her son-in-law, Walter Harless, two brothers, Roy Spence and Albert Spence, four sisters, Pearl Spears Litton, Barbara Butcher, Minnie Sue Smith, and Betty Spence, one grandchild, Sherry Lynn Setser, and one great grandchild, Paisley Anderson. She is survived by one son, James (Paula) Anderson of Tomahawk, KY, three daughters, Carla (Scotty) Mollett of Boons Camp, KY, Ella (Gilbert) Galloway of Staffordsville, KY, and Loretta Harless of Tomahawk, KY, two brothers, Sammy Spence and Don Spence, both of Tomahawk, KY, and one sister, Ruby Dhell of Louisa, KY. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 10, 2024 at 11 AM in the chapel of Crum Funeral Home with Tim Preece officiating. Burial will follow at the Anderson Cemetery. Friends may visit at the funeral home on Monday from 5 PM to 9 PM and on Tuesday from 9 AM to 9 PM. Arrangements are under the direction of Crum Funeral Home of Inez, KY.
