Betty Faye (Runyon) Maynard

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved mother and grandmother Betty Faye Maynard of Wittensville, KY passed away peacefully on December 31, 2024 at the age of 69. She was born on October 13, 1955 in Lawrence County KY. She was preceded in death by her parents, Beatrice Laney (Runyon) and Chester Lee Runyon; her brothers, Robert (Doc) Runyon, Kenneth Runyon and sister, Evelyn Castle, her nephew, Homerdale Castle, sister-in-laws, Alma Dalton McKenzie, Mary Runyon and Judy Runyon, brother-in-laws, Jimmy Castle and Roger Castle.
Betty is survived by her husband, Willard Maynard, three sons, Michael (Melissa) Maynard, Martin Maynard and Austin Maynard and one daughter, Amanda Maynard. Two stepsons, Willard Maynard, Jr. (Lori) and David Maynard. She was a devoted grandmother to Tyler Spradlin, Joseph Maynard (Rebecca Rigsby), Kaitlyn Spradlin (Timothy Cook), Alexis (Kayla) Maynard, Adam (June) Metcalf, Tamara Maynard, Hessie Maynard and Chelsey Jude. Great grandchildren include, Jailynn Workman, Isaac Maynard, Austin Maynard, Cloey Evans, Allena Hayes, Kennedy Stepp, Serenity Cook, Athena Maynard, and Lily Blue Metcalf. They were all loved tremendously. Betty is also survived by her loving sister, Joyce Castle, and two brothers, Chester Runyon, and Jimmy Ray Runyon.

Pallbearers will be Michael Maynard, Martin Maynard, Austin Maynard, Joesph Maynard, Timothy Cook and Billy Ray Hodge.

Visitation will be held at Crum Funeral Home in Inez, KY on Thursday, January 2, 2025 and Friday January 3, 2025 from 6 PM to 9 PM family and friends may gather in remembrance of this remarkable woman whose love will never be forgotten. A funeral service will be conducted on Saturday, January 4, 2025, at 11 AM at the funeral home with her burial on Cassell Branch Rd on private family cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of the Crum Funeral Home, Inez, KY.
