Billie Jean (Preece) Stacey

Billie Jean Preece Stacey, age 76, of Inez, KY, passed away December 5, 2023 at Kings Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, KY. She was born June 28, 1947 in Martin County, KY to the late Cornelius "Pete" and Ollie Maynard Preece. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her first husband, Eugene Preece, her second husband, Jerril Stacy, one son, Eugene Preece, Jr., one brother, Cornelius Pete Preece, Jr., and one sister, Roxie Jude. She is survived by two sons, Christoper (Amanda) Preece of Russell, KY and Rod (Angie) Stacey of South Carolina, two daughters, Bonnie Keaton of Inez, KY and Jennifer (David) Freeman of Louisville, KY, one brother, Hiawatha "Buck" Preece of Fort Lauderdale, FL, and two sisters, Mable Copley of Crestview Hills, KY and Sheila Howell of Inez, KY. She is also survived by five grandchildren, Jack Michael "Jay" Evans, Ashley Nicole McPeek, Dominic Christian Smith, Caden Noah Preece, and Matthew Stacey. Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 8, 2023 at 11 AM at the Union United Baptist Church with Terry Harmon officiating. Burial will follow at the Cassady Cemetery on Coldwater. Friends may visit at the church on Thursday from 6 PM to 9 PM. Arrangements are under the direction of Crum Funeral Home of Inez, KY.
