Brenda J. (Young) Horn

Brenda Joyce Horn, age 63, of Columbus, OH went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 26, 2021 at 4:17 PM. She was the daughter of the late Curtis Young and Flora Bolden. Brenda was born in Columbus, OH on November 22, 1958. On March 6, 1976, she married the one and only love of her life, Alvis Ray Horn, in Stepptown, WV. In 1978, Alvis and Brenda moved to Columbus, OH to start their life together. She retired from Meijer Store #60 in 2008. Brenda is preceded in death by her beloved aunt Betty Jo; sisters, Sharon Ann, Donna, Carol, Kay and Roxanne; brother-in-law, Willie Gene Horn. She is also preceded in death by her beloved Grandson Brady Wayne Horn. She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Alvis Ray Horn; one brother, Curtis (Nancy) Young of Beauty, KY; one son, Harvey (Amanda) Horn; two daughters, Joyce Horn (John Williams) and Angela Horn (Michael Tracy), both of Columbus, OH. She is also survived by her beloved grandchildren, Travis (Kayson), McKenzie, Curtis, Max, Abagail, Mason, Maci, Parker, Westin and Baby Tracy. Brenda was a very proud Mamaw Brenda to all her grandchildren and loved every minute she spent with them. Brenda is also survived by many loving brother and sister-in-laws, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. She will be truly missed by her family. Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 31, 2021 at 11 AM in the chapel of Crum Funeral Home with James Albert "Jimmy" Horn officiating. Burial will follow in the Mountain View Memory Garden in Maher, WV. Friends may visit at the funeral home on Wednesday and Thursday from 6 PM to 9 PM. Arrangements are under the direction of Crum Funeral Home of Inez, KY.
