Candie Lynn Preece

Candie Lynn Preece, age 62, of Wolf Creek, Martin County, KY, went to be with her Lord on August 21, 2024, at her home. She was born on May 17, 1962, in South Williamson, Pike County, KY, to the late Estel Preece and Mary (Dials) Curry. Candie is survived by one son, Arter Buddie (Harmony) Ball, grandchildren, Natasha (Anthony) Barnard, Adriana Ball, Gabriel, Luna-Rain Ball, and Arter Buddy Ball, four great grandchildren, Daylan Livingston, Annie Jay Livingston, and Kinley Barnard, all of Cosby, Tennessee. Candie is also survived by five sisters and three brothers, Deborah (Gene Brewer) Dials of MaCombs, MI, Tammy and (Leslie) Marcum of Crum, WV, Sandy Preece of Columbus, OH, Sissy (Robbie) Whitt of Pilgrim, KY, Tonya (Frank Salmons) Reed of Columbus, OH, Eric (Michelle) Brown of Crum, WV, and Lonnie Ray (Charelene) Jude of Pilgrim, KY. Candie was the granddaughter of the late Elder Willis and Janie (Moore) Dials of Coldwater Road, Inez, KY, and the late Phillip Preece and Mary Belle Davis of Wolf Creek. Candie leaves behind a host of uncles and aunts, Paul (Mattie) Davis of Wolf Creek, Lilly Mae (Darrell) Young of Coldwater Road Inez, KY, Joyce Kay Pauley of Wolf Creek, Ina Ruth (Donald) Hall of Prestonsburg, KY, Doris (Bill) Evans of Naugatuck, WV, Beatrice (Pie) Dials of Crum, WV, Jimmy (Barbara) Dials of Kermit, WV, the late Sam (Avonell) Dials of Coldwater Road Inez, KY, and Billy Dials of Lovely, KY, as well as a huge family. Candie loved her family and friends more than her words could ever explain. If she was your friend, you could count on it, she had your back. No matter what, she was backing you. She will be greatly missed and forever loved here on this earth and will be forever in our hearts. We will always remember her bright, beautiful smile and happy laughter. Candie had a special niece and nephew she loved and thought of like they were her very own children, Ciera and Kendal Kirk. She also thought a lot of her family in Tennessee, Kim, Jay, and Nolan. She loved each and every one of you guys. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, August 25, 2024, at 2 PM in the chapel of Crum Funeral Home with Robbie May officiating. Burial will follow at the Family Cemetery in Pilgrim, KY. Friends may visit the funeral home on Friday, August 23rd and Saturday, August 24th from 5 PM to 9 PM. Arrangements are under the direction of the Crum Funeral Home of Inez, KY.
