Carol (Sparks) Preece

Carol Preece, age 78, of Inez, KY, passed away May 22, 2024 at Martin County Healthcare Facility in Inez, KY. She was born November 30, 1945 in Martin County, KY to the late Earnest Frelon Sparks and Maudie Luster Sparks. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Harold Preece, and two brothers, Ralph L. (Victoria) Sparks and Willie O. (Sylvia) Sparks. She is survived by two sons, Harold T. (Kitty) Preece of Inez, KY and Michael (Sandra) Preece of Kermit, WV, one daughter, Amanda (Keith) Sweeney of Pilgrim, KY, one brother, Frelon (Remah) Sparks, Jr. of Wheelersburg, OH, and two sisters, Thelma (Bill) Marcum of Fort Gay, WV and Mary (Punk) Pack of Inez, KY. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, Brooklyn Marcum, Julia Marcum, Amelia Marcum, Michael Sweeney, Noah Sweeney, Shantton Preece, Kayla Clark, Kara Beth Preece, Shawn Preece, Jennifer Preece, Courtney Treadway, Gabriela Hyden, and Olivia Hyden, five great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 25, 2024 at 1 PM in the chapel of Crum Funeral Home with John Jude officiating. Burial will follow at Mountain Valley Memorial Garden. Friends may visit at the funeral home on Friday from 5 PM to 9 PM. Arrangements are under the direction of Crum Funeral Home of Inez, KY.
