Charles Collins

Charles Collins, age 68, of Lovely, KY, went home to be with the Lord on July 13, 2026, at Three Rivers Medical Center in Louisa, KY. He was born July 10, 1958, at home on Maynard Fork. He was the son of the late Elijah and Madgie Collins. Charles was preceded in death by his father and mother, Elijah and Madgie Collins, two brothers, Andy Collins and Billy Joe Collins, and one sister, Donna Kay Collins.

Charles worked for the Martin County Board of Education for more than 30 years and was a member of the Union United Baptist Church since 1999.

He is survived by his wife, Theresa “Beth” (McManus) Collins of Lovely, KY, one daughter, Alisha (Jonathan) Stacy of Louisa, KY, and one son, Chuck (Diane) Collins of Warfield, KY, three brothers, T.D. (Bertha) Collins of Paintsville, KY, Elijah Lee (Lynn) Collins of Pilgrim, KY, and James Eric Collins of Inez, KY, and one sister, Geraldine Sue Litton of Inez, KY. Charles is also survived by four grandchildren, Abby Collins, Alivia Stacy, Doug Sheppard and Bryanna Sheppard and a host of great grandchildren, as well as nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly. 

Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 17, 2026, at 1 PM at the Union United Baptist Church with Bobby Moore officiating. Burial will follow in the Jude-Howell Cemetery. Friends may visit at the church on Wednesday, July 15th and Thursday, July 16th from 5 PM to 9 PM. Arrangements are under the direction of Crum Funeral Home of Inez, KY.
