Charles Joseph Davis

Charles Joseph Davis, 64, formerly of Inez, KY, lovingly known as “Chuck” and affectionately called “Ringo” by his friends, was born August 30, 1961. He was of the Christian faith and went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 15, 2026, and passed peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family in Lenore, WV.

Chuck was a graduate of Sheldon Clark High School, Class of 1979. He worked underground in the coal mines during his younger years before later becoming a truck driver. After a life-changing accident, he was forced into early retirement and was never able to work again.

He was preceded in death by his mother; Joann Campbell Davis, his father, John Lewis Davis; and his grandparents, Benny Davis, Blanche Harmon Maynard, Joseph Allen Campbell, and Glendean Dalton Campbell.

He is survived by his loving sister, Debbie Smith (Jed); his loving brothers, Johnny Davis and Bradley Davis (Tammy); three children, Celeste Nicole “Nikki” Davis (Adam Mills) of Lenore, WV; Shaela Gabrielle Davis Marcum (Matthew) of Kiahsville, WV; and Joseph Kane Davis of Lenore, WV; three grandchildren; Alexis Blaze Newsome (Samson Woodruff), Kian Maddox Marcum, and Remington Cash Newsome; one great-granddaughter, Heidi Capri Woodruff; his step-grandchildren, Dustin (Ashley) Mills and Bryanna (Colton) Tomblin; his ex-wife and mother of his children, Teresa Ann Hannah Hurst (Terry); and nieces and nephews; Brittany Davis, Amisha Davis Marson (Brandon), and Wesley Goble (Gail).

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dignity Hospice of Chapmanville, WV and their compassionate nurses for the love, care, and support shown to the family during this difficult time.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to the ALS Foundation in his honor.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 17, 2026, at 1 PM in the chapel of Crum Funeral Home with Benny Joe Fitch officiating. Burial will follow in the Campbell Cemetery, Collins Creek, KY. Family and friends may visit the funeral home Saturday, January 17, 2026, from 11AM until the time of service. Arrangements are under the direction of Crum Funeral Home of Inez, KY.
