Charles Evans

Charles Evans 84, of Stepp Branch, KY, passed away peacefully Sunday February 2, 2020 at Trinity Healthcare in Williamson, WV.

He was born on October 5, 1935 in Martin County, KY the son of the late Tish and Wilson Evans.  

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Jenny Evans, fourbrothers Homer Evans, Troy Evans, Claude Evans and Amos Evans, two sisters Edna Fugett and Gertie Bailey. 

Survivors include his son Charles (Connie) Evans Jr. of Wolf Creek, KY, daughters; Charlotte (Eddie) Curry of Turkey Creek, KY, Lorene (Michael) Vance of Lenore, WV, Latisha Dotson (Johnny Ray Browning) of Harts Creek, WV, and Brandy Evans Muncy (Ron Cunnigan) of Lovely, KY., 10 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters; Thelma Evans of Johnstown, OH, Hazel Pethtel, of Westerville, OH and Goldie Dove of Lovely, KY, one brother Ray Evans of Johnstown, Ohio and a host of nieces, nephews, friends and family. 

A celebration of life will be held at 6:00 PM Tuesday, February 4, 2020 at the Oppy Church of God, Lovely, KY., and Funeral services will be at the Oppy Church on Wednesday, February 5, 2020 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Bill Evans officiating. Burial will follow at the Evans Family Cemetery at Stepp Branch, KY. Crum Funeral Home of Inez, KY is serving the Evans family. 

Pallbearers will be his grandsons; Charley Evans, Kyle Vance, Aaron Muncy, Brandon Muncy, Jason Curry and Adam Curry. Honorary pallbearers are Dwayne Evans and Bobby Mahon. 

The family would like to give their heartfelt thanks to the Oppy Church, Pastor Bill Evans, friends and family who helped with the grave and especially the staff of Trinity Health Care for all the loving care they provided while he resided there. A very special thanks to Coco, Breeana, Jessie, Tiesha and Tory who went out of their way to make him feel special. He loved and appreciated you girls more than you will know.
