Charles Edward Johnson

Charles Edward "Eddie" Johnson, of Columbus, OH, passed away November 3, 2023 surrounded by his daughters. He was born July 25, 1940 in Martin County, KY to the late Watson Harrison and Hazel Marie Muncey Johnson. Eddie loved tinkering with computers and learning different ways of fixing them. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Eddie is preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Jean Baisden Johnson, brother, Watson "Junebug" Johnson, Jr., sons, Steven Louis Morris and James Edward Messer. He is survived by five daughters, Lisa (Fred) Moxley, Denise (Jeff) Hurst, Everiae (Mike) Sanson, and Linda Messer Mercer, all of Ohio, and Maria Rigsby of North Carolina. He is also survived by his sister, Delma Ruth Herald of Ashland, KY, his special nephew, David, a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 8, 2023 at 1 PM at the Little Yellow Church on Jennies Creek with Pastor Joe Maynard officiating. Burial will follow at the Jacob Messer Cemetery. Friends may visit at the church on Monday and Tuesday from 5 PM to 9 PM. Arrangements are under the direction of Crum Funeral Home of Inez, KY.
