Charles Ellery Simpkins

Charles Ellery Simpkins, age 58, of Longview, IL passed away Monday, May 20, 2019 at Carle Hospital in Champagne, IL. He was born November 17, 1959 to the late Archie Simpkins and Pearlie Delong Simpkins in Portsmouth, OH. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one brother, Don Simpkins and one sister, Kay Ross. He is survived by his companion of 26 years, Robin Auteberry, one daughter, Danyiel Riggleman of Tuscola, IL, Casey Auteberry of Longview, IL, whom he raised as his own, two brothers, James Simpkins of Mohammad, IL and Leroy Delong of Florida, and one sister, Ellen Paine of Columbus, OH. He is also survived by three grandchildren, Colby, Charlieze (Charlie), and Payten. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 25, 2019 at 1 PM in the chapel of Crum Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Delong Cemetery, Davella, KY. Friends may visit at the funeral home on Friday from 4 PM to 8 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made to Crum Funeral Home to assist with funeral costs. Arrangements are under the direction of Crum Funeral Home of Inez, KY.
