Christopher Hobert Bowen

Christopher Hobert Bowen, age 48, passed away at his residence on April 19, 2020. He was the son of the late Hobert Bowen and Carmen Bowen Harless. In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by his stepfather, Don Harless. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his daughter, Alexis "Lexie" Faith Bowen, three sisters, Brenda (Craig) Marcum of Ulysses, KY, Rita (Charley) Fitch of Inez, KY, and Stephanie (Elmer Dials) Bowen of Huntington, WV, as well as many nieces, nephews, uncles and loving friends. His heart was as big as his personality, often being referred to as a "big teddy bear." Chris' love for his family and friends will forever be stamped upon their hearts. Chris loved to fish, camp, and spend time with his great nieces and nephews, all who fondly called him "Uncle." He was a disabled coal miner and is now resting in peace with his family who preceded him in death. It is not goodbye, it's until we meet again. A private graveside service will be held with Michael Marcum officiating. Burial will follow in the Riverview Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are under the direction of Crum Funeral Home of Inez, KY.
