Curtis Lewis Young

Curtis Lewis Young, age 65, of Beauty, KY, passed away on Friday, August 29, 2025, at his residence. He was born on February 15, 1960, to the late Curtis Young and Flora Castle in Franklin, OH. In addition to his parents, Curtis was preceded in death by one brother, Floyd Richardson, and six sisters, Carol Baldwin, Brenda Horn, Sharon Ann Young, Roxanne Hammond, Donna Young and Evelyn Ayers. He is survived by his wife, Nancy Mae Chapman Young, one daughter, Whitney (Walter) Harless III, and bonus daughters, Kaylee Stanley and Donna Adkins. He is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews. He was a member and Decan of the Gospel Light Church for many years. Curtis was a loving father, husband, uncle and will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.  Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 1, 2025, at 1 PM at the Gospel Light Church in Beauty, KY.  Rodney Brown, Bill Messer, Stewart Martin, and Bill Davis will be officiating. Burial will follow at the Perry-Damron Cemetery on Poplar Fork Road. Friends may visit the church on Saturday, August 30, 2025, and Sunday, August 31, 2025, at 6 PM with special services at 7PM each night. Arrangements are under the direction of Crum Funeral Home of Inez, KY.
