Dallas Damron, 84, a resident of Inez, KY, passed away peacefully on April 13, 2022, surrounded by his loving family. Dallas is preceded in death by his parents, Levi and Josie Damron, three brothers, George, Levi, Jr. and Alonzo; three sisters, Ethel May White, Phyllis Lakes and Gladys Fern Madrin. Dallas was a man of many talents and skills. He was a coal miner, he successfully analyzed the stock market, he could repair whatever needed repaired and converse with kings or paupers. He loved to travel with his family, and he was always willing to pitch in and lend a hand. He served his country as a paratrooper in the military from 1956 to 1959. Most important to Dallas, however, was his family. He spoiled his loving wife, Deanna Stepp Damron, who survives him, as well as two sons, who will tell you they weren’t so spoiled, Michael (Patricia) Damron and Joe (Sharon) Damron. He is survived by, and most proud of his grandchildren, Jeremiah, Jessica, and Kimberly, and great grandchild, Rylee Damron. He is survived by two brothers, Robert and Lynn Dale, and two sisters, Shirley McClain and Edith Thompson. He is further survived by five step great grandchildren, Hayden Ray, Navey Lee Ray, Jade Cornette, Rett Cornette, and Cash Cornette, and is survived by many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Friday, April 15, 2022 followed immediately by a brief memorial service beginning at 2:00 PM, at Crum Funeral Home located in Inez, KY. Arrangements are under the direction of Crum Funeral Home of Inez, KY.
