Dallas T. Sweeney

Dallas T. Sweeney, age 73, of Louisa, KY, passed away December 27, 2020 at Highlands ARH in Prestonsburg, KY. He was born February 15, 1947 in Martin County, KY to the late Carlos Sweeney and Nancy Maynard Sweeney. Dallas was a missionary and lovingly shared his faith with many over the years. He was also a member of the United Mine Workers and faithfully visited the local nursing home to sing to the residents. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, Dallas C. Sweeney, and three brothers, Granville Sweeney, Mason Sweeney, and Ronnie Sweeney. He is survived by his wife, Martha Jarvis Sweeney, two daughters, Suzanne St. Amand of Florida and Beth (Leon) Blackburn of Debord, KY, three brothers, Randall (Carolyn) Sweeney of Beauty, KY, Keith Sweeney of Inez, KY, and Carlos Sweeney of Beauty, KY, and three sisters, Verla Rose Jude of Crum, WV, Anna Gertrude Hickman of Columbus, OH, and Connie (Dewey) Murphy of Lovely, KY. He is also survived by six grandchildren, Kelsey McCoy, Warren Sweeney, Carissa Sweeney, Misha Solomon, Shai Solomon, and Mia Solomon, and four great grandchildren, Jennah McCoy, Lilly McCoy, Ava McCoy, and Ozzy McCoy. As per the family's request, there will be a private service limited to immediate family. Masks are required and all social distancing guidelines must be followed. Arrangements are under the direction of Crum Funeral Home of Inez, KY.
