David Ray Proctor

David Ray Proctor, 70, loving husband and father of two children, passed away Monday, March 2nd, 2020 following his battle with cancer.

He leaves his wife of 51 years, Sandra (Pack) Proctor; his daughter, Christina Presley, her husband Jeff Presley; his son Joey Proctor; two grandchildren, from daughter, Hannah Noelle Presley and son, David Grant Proctor.

Born on November 26th, 1949 in Logan, West Virginia to Robert and Mildred (Cook) Proctor David was one of seven children. 

Growing up in Inez, KY he attended and graduated from Inez High School. While in school he met his wife, Sandra Gail Pack, and they married on September 7th, 1968. Shortly after joining Sandy in marriage he voluntarily enlisted into the Air Force. A Vietnam Veteran, David served his country from 1968-1972. 

David and Sandy were both members of Bethel United Baptist in Inez, KY.  After moving to Ashland in 2009 they happily found a new church family at Wurtland Freewill Baptist and David discovered a kindred spirit, friend and fellow Vietnam Veteran in Pastor Roy Roach. 

David was preceded in death by his father, Robert, mother, Mildred, brothers Michael and Billy and sister Diana. He is survived by his wife, Sandy, his two children, Christina and Joey, sisters, Doris Preece, Glenda Preece and Betty Marcum and grandchildren Hannah Noelle Presley and David Grant Proctor.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 4th at Crum Funeral Home of Inez from 6-9 PM for the public and on Thursday at Wurtland Freewill Baptist Church from 11 AM to 1 PM. Funeral service will be held at 1 PM at the church with burial to follow at Bellefonte Memorial Gardens.
