Dennis Preston

Dennis Preston, age 92, of Inez, KY, passed away on February 13, 2025, at his residence. He was born on April 19, 1932, to the late Wallace and Leander (Robinson) Preston in Martin County, KY. In addition to his parents, Dennis was preceded in death by his wife, Effie (Bowen) Preston, one daughter, Oreatha Preston, one son-in-law, James Johnson, two brothers, Robert Preston and William Preston, and six sisters, Hester Preston, Rosemary Preston, Thelma Paris, Oreatha Grill, Tina Mae Kirk, and Anis Castle. He is survived by three daughters, Virginia (James Harvey) Johnson of Louisa, KY, Loretta Preston of Inez, KY, and Billie Jean (Leon) Muncy of Inez, KY, seven grandchildren, Norman (Michelle) Johnson, James (Krystal) Johnson, Chad (Vanessa) Johnson, Jennifer (Jeremy) Spaulding, Samantha (Lori Mills) Carter, Cristy (Cody) Jude, Aaron (Kate Risner) Muncy, ten great grandchildren, Brittany Johnson, Jacob Stepp, Alyssa Johnson, Allen Johnson, Kaylee Spaulding, Corbin Spaulding, Ezekiel Spaulding, Elena Grace Muncy, Brantley Jude, and Julian Jude, and seven great-great grandchildren, Bradley Waller, Braxton Waller, Bentley Waller, Ava Tulson, Mia Tulson, Natalie Hill, and Emily Eausley. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 19, 2025, at 11 AM in the chapel of Crum Funeral Home with Dave Bowen officiating. Burial will follow in the Bowen-Johnson Cemetery. Friends may visit the funeral home on Saturday, February 15th, and Sunday, February 16th from 6 PM to 9 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Crum Funeral Home to assist with funeral expenses. Arrangements are under the direction of Crum Funeral Home of Inez, KY.
