Dicie (Dillon) Charles

Dicie Charles, age 94, of Lovely, KY, passed away May 26, 2021 at her residence. She was born July 29, 1926 in Mingo County, KY to the late Walter and Rosa Canterbury Dillon. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Charles, one son, James Herbert Charles, three daughters, Vanessa Joan Charles, Bonnie Grace and Janice Charles Blackburn, three brothers, Herman Dillon, Calvin Dillon and Paul Dillon, seven sisters, Gracie Sturgill, Maudie McCloud, Dorthy Deskins, Juanita Parsley, Loretta Becket, Loraine Dillon and Nora Marie Conn, one grand daughter, Ladonna Marcum and one great grandson, Ryan Marcum. She is survived by one son, James Dewey Charles of Lovely, KY, and one brother, Walter Dillon, Jr. of Columbus, OH. She is also survived by three grandchildren, Brian (Stephanie) Marcum and Tammy (Willis) Jarrell, both of Inez, KY, and David Marcum of Pittsburg, PA, eight great grandchildren, Krista Maynard, Kent Jarrell, Brayden Marcum, Isabella Marcum, Cole Marcum, Connor Marcum, Mason Marcum and Arica Marcum, nine great, great grandchildren, James "Boo" Maynard, Jr., Willow Jarrell, Bently Luster, Kylin Luster, Amelia Luster, Skyia Luster, Mckynlee Marcum, Oliver Marcum and Dyxee Marcum, and her three pets that she loved very much, dogs, Bruce and Poo and cat, Sissie. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 29, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Beauty Church of the Nazarene. Burial will follow in the Parsley Fitzpatrick Cemetery. Friends may visit at the church on Friday starting at 6 PM. Arrangements are under the direction of Crum Funeral Home of Inez, KY.
