Dollie Jane (Anderson) Mills

Dollie Jane (Janie) Anderson Mills, age 82, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, following a brief illness.

Janie was born on February 19, 1943, in Inez, Kentucky, to the late J.B. and Dollie Anderson. She devoted her life to her family as a homemaker. She attended Parsons Avenue Church of God whenever she was able and found comfort in her faith in Jesus Christ.

In addition to her parents, Janie was preceded in death by her loving husband, Samuel D. Mills; daughter, Lisa Mills; brothers, Jim Anderson, Cledus Anderson, and Bob Anderson; and her son-in-law, Norman Toler.

Janie leaves behind her loving children: Lora (Paul) Stepp of Louisa, Kentucky; Samuel (Katrena) Mills of Columbus, Ohio; and Shannon Toler of Columbus, Ohio. She is also survived by her brother, Ronnie Anderson of Oakville, WA, and her sister, Cricket Toler of Mayfield, KY.

She was blessed with eight grandchildren that called her Ma: Jennifer (Trevor) Lyon, Paula (Ashton) Rickman, Autumn (David) Stickler, Paul (Jessica) Stepp II, Justina Mills, Hannah (Stephen) Hill, Sammy Mills and Abigail Mills. She is also survived by eight cherished great-grandchildren: Daxton Rickman, Jenna Lyon, Lexi Rickman, Stephen Hill, Aiden Hill, Jaxon Hill, Alexandra Lyon, and Arbie Stickler.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 15, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Funeral services take place on Monday, February 16, 2026, at 11:00 AM, in the Chapel of Crum Funeral Home, with Rev. Brice Utt and Paul L. Stepp II, officiating.

Burial will follow in the Mills-Horn-Crum Cemetery in Inez, Kentucky.
