Donald Brewer

Donald Brewer, age 78, of Clearfield, KY, passed away April 13, 2021 at his residence. He was born December 8, 1942 in Williamson, WV to the late Calvin James Brewer and Isabell Evans Newsome Brewer. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Francis Brewer, one stepson, Kenneth Anthony King, one brother, Grover Brewer, and two sisters, Gladys Cline and Reva Workman. He is survived by one son, Donald Joseph Brewer of Morehead, KY and one stepson, Shawn Neil King of Morehead, KY. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren as well as one great grandchild on the way. Don spent many years serving with the Martin County Sheriff's office under both Sheriff Darrell Young and Sheriff Garmon Preece. He also enjoyed serving with the Inez Volunteer Fire Department. He dedicated countless hours to both entities and loved every minute of it. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 22, 2021 at 1:00 PM in the chapel of Crum Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the Thickety Fork Cemetery. Friends may visit at the funeral home on Thursday beginning at 10 AM until the time of services. Arrangements are under the direction of Crum Funeral Home of Inez, KY.
