Earshel Bowen

Earshel Bowen, age 80, of Inez, KY, passed away June 13, 2023 at his residence. He was born July 1, 1942 in Martin County, KY to the late Curtis Bowen and Lidie Johnson Bowen. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by three brothers, Curtis "June" Bowen, Jr., Henry Bowen and Edward "Ed" Bowen, two sisters, Edith Buckner and Earsie Chaffins, and three infant siblings. He is survived by his wife, Norma L. Bowen, four daughters, Norma Ann Bowen, Rachel Bowen, Melissa Kay Bowen, and Sarah Nicole Bowen, all of Inez, KY, and one brother, Calvin (Betty) Bowen of Gainesville, FL. He is also survived by two granddaughters, Ashley (Eric) Harris and Leanna Patton, one granddaughter on the way, and several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 17, 2023 at 1 PM in the chapel of Crum Funeral Home with Bill Davis, David Bowen, and Tim Preece officiating. Burial will follow at the Cox Cemetery on Big Lick Br. Friends may visit at the funeral home on Thursday and Friday from 5 PM to 9 PM. Arrangements are under the direction of Crum Funeral Home of Inez, KY.
