Edgar James

Edgar James, age 82, of Inez, KY, passed away March 12, 2020 at St. Mary Medical Center in Huntington, WV. He was born November 16, 1937 to the late Herbert James and Betsy Fannin James in Inez, KY. He was a veteran of the US Army and pastor of the Gethsemane United Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers, Lee James and Zephinar James and one sister, Flora Williamson. He is survived by his wife Alene (Ooten) James, two sons, Rick (Brenda) James of Inez, KY and Micky (Carla) James of Mississippi, two daughters, Elizabeth Ann (Douglas) Little of Paintsville, KY and Sandra James of Inez, KY, and one sister, Ann Bowen of Marion, OH. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, March 15, 2020 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Crum Funeral Home with Riley Maynard and John Goble officiating. Burial will follow in the Riverview Memorial Garden in Louisa, KY. Friends may visit at the funeral home on Saturday from 6 PM to 9 PM. Arrangements are under the direction of Crum Funeral Home of Inez, KY.
