Edward Allen McGinnis

Edward Allen McGinnis, age 61, of Inez, KY, passed away August 7, 2023 at Cabell Huntington Hospital in Huntington, WV. He was born November 30, 1961 to the late Basil and Beulah McGinnis. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one brother, Winfield "Peewee" McGinnis, three brothers-in-law, Nathan Gale Maynard, Kelly Crum, and Bobby Cornette, one sister, Gale Delong, his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Glenn and Shirley Cornette, and his nephews, Greg Delong and Nathan James Maynard. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Patty Cornette McGinnis of Inez, KY, one daugther, Sinead McGinnis of Inez, KY, one brother, Joe (Terry) Delong of Floyd County, KY, three brothers-in-law, Mike (Ramona) Cornette and Greg (Lou) Porter both of Debord, KY and Joe Cornette of Inez, KY, one sister, Joan Crum of Debord, KY, and two sisters-in-law, Jenny McGinnis and Dee Maynard.  He is also survived by three grandchildren, Jordyn Mollette, JaLynn McGinnis, and Izaiah McGinnis, his very close friend, Colby Wright, and lots of family and friends that he loved dearly. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 12, 2023 at 1 PM with Tim Preece and Denny Ray Moore officiating. Burial will follow at the Cornette Family Cemetery on Coldwater. Friends may visit at the funeral home on Thursday and Friday from 5 PM to 9 PM. In lieu of flowers the family has asked that donations be made to the funeral home to assist with funeral arrangements. Arrangements are under the direction of Crum Funeral Home of Inez, KY.
