Elbert Osborne Obituary

Elbert J. Osborne, age 71, of Beauty, KY, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 21, 2022 at his home. He was born on September 22, 1950 to the late Elijah and Hattie (Harless) Osborne. Elbert is survived by his wife of 44 years, Debbie (Perry) Osborne, and three wonderful children he was so proud of: Elbert Lee (Mary Jo) Osborne of Beauty, KY, Kristy Lynn "Weasel" (Scott) Smith of Kermit, WV, and Eric Wesley (Tracy Farler) Osborne of Georgetown, KY; five grandchildren who were the apple of his eye: Courtney (Robert) McArthur of Jackson, TN, Ethan (Kesley Cornett) Osborne of Inez, KY, Bryson Osborne of Beauty, KY, Delena (Brandon) Maynard of Belfry, KY and Brayden Hacker of Georgetown, KY, and was beyond excited about welcoming a new granddaughter in November, Sophia Osborne of Georgetown, KY. In addition, he leaves his greatest enjoyment in life, great grandchildren: Avianna, Waylon, Charlie, and Levi McArthur, Brantley and Daxton Maynard, and was eagerly awaiting his newest great granddaughter, Aubrey Osborne, who will arrive in December. He also leaves behind three brothers, James (Mattie) Osborne of Turkey Creek, KY, Jay L (Tish) Osborne and baby brother, Dewey (Lynn) Osborn, both of Beauty, KY, sisters-in-law, Stella Perry, Nancy Perry, and Brenda Perry, all of Beauty, KY and Carol Ward of Georgetown, KY, a brother-in-law, Billy Ray Howard of Inez, KY and a multitude of nieces and nephews who loved their Uncle Eb and he loved them in return. Preceding him in death were brothers, Danny Wayne and Richard Osborne, sisters, Allie Mae Stepp, Sylvia Osborne, Lizzie Damron, Betty Jean Goble, Rosie Marcum, Egie Webb Stepp, and Nancy Howard, sister-in-law, Lorene Johnson, and brothers-in-law, Jesse Jack (Yvonne) Perry, Ben Perry, and Jerry Ward. Waiting to welcome him home was his mother and father-in-law, Jesse "Jake" and Anna Perry, who loved him as their own and who he went above and beyond for while they were here. Elbert was a disabled coal miner. He loved fishing, hunting, listening to music, and singing. He could often be found puttering around and singing. He was always quick to help anyone - family, neighbor, friend or even enemy. He has certainly left a testimony to what we should all strive to be. Our loss is Heaven's gain. Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 26, 2022 at 12 PM at the Big Elk Freewill Baptist Church with John Taylor and Warnie Pinson officiating. Burial will follow at the Perry Family Cemetery. Friends may visit at the church beginning at 6 PM on Wednesday and Thursday. Arrangements are under the direction of Crum Funeral Home of Inez, KY.
