Elbie Blackburn

Elbie Blackburn, age 80, of Inez, KY, passed away on July 2, 2025, at Paintsville ARH. He was born on June 15, 1945, to the late Wilburn and Inis (Davis) Blackburn in Martin County, KY. In addition to his parents, Elbie was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Ann (Hackney) Blackburn, one grandson, Keegan Moore, seven brothers, Bobby Blackburn, Watson Blackburn, Wilburn Blackburn Jr, Jimmy Blackburn, Harrison Blackburn, Steve Blackburn, and Dennis Blackburn, and four sisters, Nannie Blackburn, Joann Damron, Garnet Blackburn, and Ruth Atha. He is survived by two daughters, Nannie Lucy Blackburn of Lexington, KY, and Rachel (Anthony) Blackburn of Staffordsville, KY, three brothers, John Blackburn, Woody Blackburn, and Jack Blackburn, and one sister, Donna Jude. Elbie is also survived by five grandchildren, Bree (Austin) Blackburn of Inez, KY, Brooke (Cody) Blackburn of Inez, KY, Chelsey (Caden) Sexton of Staffordsville, KY, Chloe Moore of Pilgrim, KY, and Caylee Moore of Pilgrim, KY, and two great grandchildren, Elbie McCoy of Inez, KY, and Rylan Fyffe of Staffordsville, KY. Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 7, 2025, at 1 PM in the chapel of Crum Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Damron Cemetery. Friends may visit the funeral home on Saturday, July 5th and Sunday, July 6th from 6 PM to 9 PM. Arrangements are under the direction of Crum Funeral Home of Inez, KY.
