Eugene "Sweetie" Moore

Eugene Moore, age 87, of Pilgrim, KY, passed away June 23, 2024 at Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland, KY. He was born March 19, 1937 in Wolf Creek, KY to the late Roosevelt and Lucy Mills Moore. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his daughter, Kimberly K. Moore, four brothers, Mckinley Moore, Jonie Moore, Lacy Moore, and Roosevelt Moore, Jr., and two sisters, Addie Osborne and Vinnie Moore. Eugene, affectionately known as "Sweetie," is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Thelma Blackburn Moore, his son, Jobie Tracy (Shelby) Moore of Lowmansville, KY, one brother, Ballard Moore of Inez, KY, five sisters, Dorothy Robinson, Kinnie Preece, and Arizona Horn, all of Inez, KY, Virgie Muncy of Ulysses, KY, and Judy Kline of Logan, OH. He is also survived by three grandchildren, Trista (Shane) Stafford, Tera (Scott) McGinnis, and Jobie (Scyler Bowen) Moore, three great grandchildren, Parker Stafford, Paige Stafford, and Waylon Moore, a special brother-in-law, Marion Duncan, and a special great niece and nephew, Amy Lawson and Doug Jude. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 26, 2024 at 1 PM in the chapel of Crum Funeral Home with the Old Regular Baptist Ministers, Brother Todd Dials, Brother Tom Dials, and Brother Richard Staton, officiating. Burial will follow at the family cemetery. Friends may visit at the funeral home on Tuesday from 5 PM to 9 PM. Arrangements are under the direction of Crum Funeral Home of Inez, KY.
