Floyd Ray Dove

Floyd Ray Dove, age 74, of Williamson, WV, passed away August 13, 2022 at the Veteran's Hospital in Huntington, WV. He was born May 25, 1948 in Nolan, WV to the late Floyd M. and Mary Harmon Dove. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his stepmother, Zelda Dove, one sister, Mildred Hensley, and one grandson, Adam "Little A" Dove. He is survived by his wife, Loretta McCoy Dove, two sons, Wesley (Jennifer) Dove and Adam (Kim) Dove, both of Williamson, WV, three brothers, Thomas (Joyce) Dove and Steve (Shirlene) Dove, both of Chattaroy, WV, and James (Eugena) Dove of Petersburg, WV, and four sisters, Swannee (Dan) Thomas of Somerset, KY, Marylin (Garland) Gilman of Scarlet Rd., WV, Denise (Grady) Ware of VA, and Sandra (Boots) Knight of Petersburg, WV. He is also survived by his grandson, Brady Dove, who was his world, as well as several special nieces, nephews, friends and family, all that he thought dearly of. Funeral services will be held at the Marrowbone Freewill Baptist Church on Thursday, August 18, 2022 at 1 PM with Herman Stacy and Dennis Young officiating. Burial will follow at the Dove Family Cemetery. Friends may visit at the church on Wednesday from 5 PM to 10 PM. There will be special services starting at 7 PM. Arrangements are under the direction of Crum Funeral Home of Inez, KY.
