Franklin Preece

Franklin Preece, age 83, of Inez, KY, passed away March 15, 2024 at his residence. He was born April 9, 1940 in Martin County, KY to the late William Howard Preece and Rosie Delong Preece. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his spouse, Mavis Preece, six brothers, Lonnie Preece, Harold Preece, Glenn Ray Preece, Howard Preece, Jr., Daniel Boone Preece, and James Buddy Preece, and four sisters, Fern Carty, Sharon Winchester, Corrine Ellis, and Faye Marcum.  He is survived by two sons, Franklin (Betty) Preece, Jr. of Inez, KY and Jerry (Rose) Preece of Louisa, KY, one daughter, Helen (Ronnie) Jude of Inez, KY, one brother, Donnie (Wanda) Preece of Inez, KY, and one sister, Verna McKenzie of Florida. He is also survived by four grandchildren, Benjamin, Helen Joann, Dixie and Ashley, and seven great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 19, 2024 at 1 PM in the chapel of Crum Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Riverview Memorial Garden in Louisa, KY. Friends may visit at the funeral home on Sunday and Monday from 5 PM to 9 PM each night. Arrangements are under the direction of Crum Funeral Home of Inez, KY.
