Fred Lovins Obituary

Fred Lemarr Lovins, 70, of Middle Burning Creek Rd, Kermit, WV passed away at home on May 26, 2020 to join his Lord and Savior. He was born in Paintsville, KY on November 8, 1949 to the late Clarence and Maxine Lovins. Fred was a devoted husband, father, papaw and most importantly, Christian. He was a member of the Kermit Freewill Baptist Church. He was also a retired coal miner, former Superintendent from Marrowbone Development Company, former Pastor of Stoney Hill Baptist church and a member of the Masonic Lodge 167. Fred was a devoted family man, who cherished time with all his loved ones, but his greatest pride was his grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he is now joined in Heaven with his son Clarence Lemarr “Skeeter” Lovins. 
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 50 years Betty Lovins, one son Mark (Gail) Lovins of Kermit, WV, one daughter Angela (Steve) Ward of Crum, WV, one Granddaughter Delena (Brandon) Maynard, two Grandsons Anthony Lemarr Lovins and Steven Lemarr Ward and two Great Grandsons Brantley and Daxton Maynard, two brothers Micheal (Brenda) Lovins of Oceana, WV and Jack ((Phyllis) Lovins of Kermit, WV, two sisters Judy (Pat) Long of Bardstown, Ky and Linda (Donald) Howell of Inez, Ky. Also surviving is his four legged companion Spot, a Special Niece Donalle (Freddie) Whitt and a host of special nieces, nephews and friends. 
Visitation will be held at Crum Funeral Home in Inez, KY on Thursday, May 28, 2020. Friends may call after 6 PM. Funeral services will be held at Kermit Freewill Baptist Church on Friday May 29, 2020 at 1:00 pm. Pastor Walter Marcum will be arranging the service with singing by Daniel Mayhew. Serving as Pall Bearers will be Mark Lovins, Steve Ward, Steven Ward, Brandon Maynard, Freddie Whitt, Steven Lovins, Todd Lovins, and Michael Pack. Arrangements are under the direction of Crum Funeral Home of Inez, KY.
