Gregory "Greg" Maynard

Gregory "Greg" Maynard, age 56, of Debord, KY, passed away December 28, 2023 at Highlands Appalachian Regional Hospital in Prestonsburg, KY. He was born October 5, 1967 in Columbus, OH to the late James and Eloise Carter Maynard. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by five brothers, James Sidney Maynard, Randy Maynard, James Earl Maynard, Bobby Lee Maynard and Wilburn Maynard, and two sisters, Patricia Maynard and Marilyn McCoy. He is survived by his companion, Sandra Morrison, one son, Tommy York, four daughters, Cassandra Jarvis, Natasha Maynard, Janice Maynard, and Kayla Bowens, one brother, Glen Maynard of Missouri, four sisters, Sharon (Donnie) Hatfield of Lenore, WV, Victoria Maynard of Inez, KY, Ruby Greenway of Missouri, and Diane Carter of Prestonsburg, KY, five stepchildren, Wesley Smith, Amy McCoy, Melvin Jude, David Smith, and Jerry Maynard and three grandchildren. He is also survived by his good friend, John Rainwater, who he thought of as a brother, his nephew, Josh Maynard and his cousin, JD Carter, both of who he thought of as sons, and a special niece, Ealita Johnson Stumbo. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, December 31, 2023 at 2 PM in the chapel of Crum Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the Rainwater Family Cemetery. Friends may visit at the funeral home on Saturday from 5 PM to 9 PM. Arrangements are under the direction of Crum Funeral Home of Inez, KY.
