Hallie (Bowens) Johnson

Hallie Bowens Johnson, 72, of Inez, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 5, 2024. She was born on November 12, 1951 to the late Jake and Clearinda Bowens. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers, Elmer Wiley and Edgar Bowens, and one sister, Estelle Maynard. Hallie is survived by three sisters, Lucy Kirk, Florence Reed, Edna Fletcher and three sons, Ralph (Stephanie) Johnson, David Chaffins, Immanul Johnson, and two daughters, Rebecca (Greg) Newsome and Lisa Maynard.

She loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren so much. Greg Johnson, Austin Johnson, Bryson Marcum, Kayden (Thunder Knocker) Johnson, Zack Newsome, Justin Newsome, Ernie Pack, Brandi Workman, Mary Preston, Jake Preston, Immanul Johnson, Jakie Johnson, Mikie Stacy III, David Chaffins, Fannie Chaffins, and Chris Chaffins always held a special place in her heart. Hallie was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She was also member of Vineyard United Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 9, 2024, at 1PM, at the Vineyard United Baptist Church. Richard Doc Maynard and David Bowens will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Bowens-Maynard Cemetery on Thickety Fork, Inez, KY. Friends may visit the church on Monday, October 7, 2024 and Tuesday, October 8, 2024 after 5PM. Arrangements are under the direction of Crum Funeral Home of Inez, KY. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
