Helen (Bowen) Harless

Helen (Bowen) Harless, age 71, of Louisa, KY, passed away on October 13, 2025. She was born on November 20, 1953, to the late Earl and Merle (Johnson) Bowen in Martin County, KY. In addition to her parents, Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Harless, Sr, one son, Danny Kay Harless, two grandsons, Justin Harless and Chucky Maynard, and several sisters. Helen is survived by two sons, Clarence Harless, Jr, of Louisa, KY, and Charles (Bridget) Maynard of Columbus, OH, one daughter, Melissa (Joshua) Welch of Louisa, KY, and one sister, Shirley Mounts of Fort Gay, WV. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, Kim Harless, Brandon Harless, Jeffrey Maynard, Brittany DeWolf, Kalani Maynard, Shaunntae Thompson, and Joseph Welch, and several great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 17, 2025, at 1 PM at the New Friendship United Baptist Church with John Goble and David Marcum officiating. Burial will follow in the George Harless Cemetery in Debord, KY. Friends may visit the church on Wednesday, October 15th after 5 PM and Thursday, October 16th all day. Arrangements are under the direction of Crum Funeral Home of Inez, KY.
